Summary - 150 words

The first part of the book "Proof of Forever" is about four girls named Joy, Tali, Luce and Zoe who went to a summer camp, and there they became best friends. The four girls made a lot of memories at summer camp. After summer camp was over they all went their own ways, and they all lost connection with each other. Years passed by until one of them invited the other three girls to a reunion they were going to have. At the reunion all four girls decided to go into a photo booth and take a picture like old times. When they were about to take the picture, the flash of the photo booth camera transports them back in time, to the summer they met. This leaves the four girls confused and worried that they won't be able to get back to their future. They then have to work as a team and do everything exactly the same as they did once in order to get back to the lives they were living.

So far the book has been about four girls who became best friends during a summer camp, they made lots of great memories together. Then summer camp was over and they all went in different directions and so they all stopped talking. They all then began high school. One day, one of the girls decided to contact the rest and have all of them meet up somewhere to catch up. Next, all four girls decided to go and meet up. When they all got there it was very awkward because they haven't talked in a long time. One of the girls told the rest to quit making it awkward since this was their first time meeting up in a while. They were all making it seem like this whole thing meant nothing to them. But the girl who spoke up started talking about the old memories and fun activities they did while being in summer camp.

The main characters in the story are Zoe, Luce, Joy, and Tali. These characters were once best friends. The setting is in the summer. Tali's car broke down and she had to call a tow company. She was almost gonna miss the reunion but then she asked the guy who took her car for a ride. She felt really desperate for a ride, and she was really nervous.

This book so far has been about this girl named Zoe that was dating her best friend named Calvin. Zoe realizes that she wasn't ready to be in a relationship, and so she dumps Calvin. Zoe than gets a phone call from her old best friend from high school, and she wants to meet up. Calvin didn't like Zoe's ex best friend because of what she did to Zoe. Anyways, Zoe still wanted to meet up with her old best friends. Calvin ended up giving Zoe a ride to her ex best friend's house.

Mutations Sketchnote

I learned that mutations are good and bad. The most interesting mutation I've learned about was the two headed snake because it's interesting to see how they survive, and the way they look. I did like sketchnoting because it's a faster and easier way to take notes. Something I would do different is write smaller, and keep everything separated. 

First 8th grade blog

My name is Yahaira Morales, I'm 13 years old I like playing basketball and soccer. My favorite thing about 8th grade is that I have a lot of classes with my friends. I think that in biology I'm doing great this year because I have gotten good grades and feel good when ever we take assessment.

Literacy History

        I first learned the letters in the alphabet when I was in Kindergarten. Mrs. Sorensen read to us a book every day about 1 letter but we learned a different letter every 2-3 days. I enjoyed when somebody read to me because I kind of pay more attention when somebody reads to me. I just feel like its more interesting hearing it from somebody. The first book I ever read was about a little cat who tried learning the letters in the alphabet and he learned one very day like us. I did like reading on my own. I like reading on my own but I enjoy the book when somebody reads to me or I just hear it. When I first learned how to write my name I was in Kindergarten. Mrs. Sorensen gave us a paper with lines and we had to write our name like 5 times a day so that we remember how it is written. It made me feel happy because it was the first time that I was able to write my name and it actually looked kind of sloppy because my handwriting was really sloppy but I still enjoyed it.


       I really liked learning how to read and write because I knew that in the future you would need how to learn how to read and write for everything so I needed to know how to read and write. When I first went to school I was really happy because I felt like I was really big, and if people would treat me like an adult for going to school. I was excited to meet new people and make new friends. When I found out that my mom wasn't going to be able to stay with me, I started to cry because I didn't want her to leave. I told her that I didn't want to go to school and I wanted to stay home with her, but it didn't work. I ended up going to school, learning how to read and write, meeting new people, making friends. getting good grades, and enjoying the fact that I have the opportunity to come to school.
